Yoga gives us the tools to maintain a healthy body and a positive mind, and encourages us to stop looking for answers from the outside and start turning inward, so that the true journey of self-discovery can begin. For me, yoga is a process of "unlearning", about accepting what we already are and what we are not. It is about eliminating what is unreal and impermanent, connecting us with our true essence, allowing us to experience the present moment from a place of true liberation. Like many, my yoga journey began in India, where I was fascinated by Hindu culture and philosophy. After deepening my own practice for a few years, I returned to India to Rishikesh to complete my first Hatha yoga training with Surinder Singh. My passion to learn more and more has grown and since then I have taken courses in Ayurveda, yin yoga, hatha raja, yoga for children, adolescents and pregnancy. Although I love all styles of yoga, my main passion is Hatha yoga and the base and stability it offers. It takes the practitioner to a place within that we can always access, a place of deep calm and peace. I believe in the healing power of mantra and chanting and feel very grateful and privileged to share all of this in our retreats.
