Lorena Casal

I am Lorena Casal, the creator of algoendanza.

Te of adolescents and as a trainer of trainers through the resources of theater and dance. I do it from the body, the place we inhabit and from which we inhabit the world, and from movement and speech, our main communication vehicles. My training covers different areas: sports, educational and art therapy. In sports, I am a Base Sports Technician (GC) and a Superior Rhythmic Gymnastics Technician (RFEGR). Academically, I have trained as a Graduate in Hispanic Philology (URV), Postgraduate in Emotional Education (UB), Expert in Self-leadership and group conduction (UB) and Postgraduate in Education and Theater (IT, ongoing). Therapeutically, I am a Reiki Master (Venerable Lama Ngawang Wangjor) and a Buddhist Meditation instructor (CIDEB). I have trained as a Dance / Movement Therapist in Tariqah with Teresa Monsegur, a pioneer of this discipline in Spain, and I have completed the Master of Psychoanalytic Psychodrama (EPB). Throughout my life I continue dancing and training in different courses, workshops and master classes in yoga, meditation, theater, contemporary dance, ballroom dancing, swing, blues, BMC, authentic movement, clown and a long list of disciplines related to the body in motion. I have worked as a grassroots and high competition coach, fire juggling instructor and performer, choreographer and school theater coordinator. In recent years my activity has focused on teaching and accompanying change through movement. As a secondary school teacher, I develop the study and systematization of the Emotional Theater method in the educational context. As a bodywork facilitator I lead movement groups with adolescents, inclusive dance and adults. Also different forms of application of creative dance and corporal expression for choirs, groups of teachers, work teams and theater companies. As a trainer I have given courses, workshops and lectures based on emotional work through the body and movement in different spaces and institutions: Foment Vilanoví (Vng), Escola Rosa Sensat (BCN), Cercle Católic (Vng), Col. legi de Doctors i Llicenciats (BCN), INS Alexandre Galí (Sant Pere de Ribes), Caecé University (BA), UB University (BCN), Oviedo University (Oviedo), Aragonese Dance Therapy Association (Zgza), Anoia Pedagogical Resources Center (Anoia). I am interested in research and I have made different presentations and workshops in dance and education congresses on inclusive dance and emotional theater.
