Well I have to tell you that you are missing on one of the best experiences.
“Mmm…Miriam … I think you’re exaggerating …!” You may think. But nothing could be further from the truth.
I have been doing monthly retreats for more than 3 years now, and hundreds of people have gone on my retreats. And the words I most often hear are: “I have been reborned,” “I have never felt so much love.” “I can give myself permission and stop being strong.” “One of the best experiences of my life!”.
The good thing is that in this market there are all types of retreats. Personally I am more inclined for those who combine several activities. In this way you can connect with yourself in different ways and approaches.
Introspection activities and activities of exploration of the outside. Also activities that include both, which I would say are many. From meditation, yoga, art therapy, body expression, laughter therapy, conscious regression, coaching or emotional intelligence…
But there are people who connect more with monothematic retreats. This is the good thing about the diversity that we can find today. We are different people with different needs at all times.
It is also true that, increasingly, we need to disconnect from our day to day and reconnect with ourselves. We unplug. Energy is depleted. And the body asks us to.
Going out, connecting with nature, meeting with new people, having different conversations …
In spite hearing about all these theories about Mindfulness, meditation, presence, balance … our daily lives sometimes continue to suffocate us and we need to breathe.
Or we may just want to give it ourselves as a gift, because we know it will be very beneficial.
Each person chooses their spiritual retreat, the one that best suits what they feel and their circumstances.
If you do not know very well what to choose, close your eyes and listen to yourself.
And if you are afraid, or uncertain even more reason to do it… because I assure you 120% that you will not regret it.
I send you a big hug, and I hope to give it to you in person in some retreat.
