Why a Movement Retreat? A Movement Retreat is an invitation within yourself. Spending a few days in a space-time dedicated to you already ius a turning point in life. Sometimes, this experience is accompanied by a body movement activity and through group experience, a magical and connecting environment is created.
The body keeps the memory of all the experiences of your life. It is the first vehicle of communication. The hug, the caress, food, our looks, the voice, everything comes together to imprint the form in which each life lesson was experienced. Unique and personal.
The energetic body, with its seven main chakras, has characteristics that define us in the physical, emotional and spiritual planes. The path of life is the scenario where each centre manifests itself in a particular way and in a specific combination as a whole. Therefore, the encounter from our centres allows us to examine, witness (be present) this reflection of the state in which we are here and now. With love, acceptance and respect, a retreat is intended to bring out the possible expressive content of each of the participants.
Dancing, with the chosen music activates the circulation of energy of each of our centres. In turn, this awakens sleeping potentials while opening doors to what is stagnant in us.
“Every encounter is a reencounter” reminds us in this sentence Dr. Pichon Riviere, father of Social Psychology.
The group allows the exchange of looks, gestures, exchanges, which may arouse emotions, images and old memories. As such, this circularity brings us the wonderful opportunity to work on these emotions and strengthens our quest for harmony and well-being. The resonances and consonances that arise, reveal the multiple tunings of what summons us as humans.
A prolonged stay and coexistence encourages sharing, exchanging and being. Consequently, it deepens the link with oneself and with others. Inevitably, this has an effect on our Life. Those who have already been to a retreat define it as a turning point in their life.
We can go through life without realizing it and repeating behaviours. This tends to bring us misery, finding ourselves in dilemmas, without knowing how to get out of them, feeling again helpless. We tend to fight the messages of our body as if it were our enemy.
The ways in which we interact with ourselves and with others, or with the different situations of life, arise directly in our body work. “The body does not lie” we have heard so often. And not only does it not lie, but it can quickly and authentically convey the internal stage outwards with the consequent possibility of transformation.
A retreat is a unique and extraordinary opportunity, guided and lovingly contained by specialist professionals who can help make of this experience something transformative; hard to explain with words.
