On the trail of Sri Ramana Maharshi
We will start the day with yoga and meditation. After breakfast, there will be an hour of mantra chanting with live music and a meeting with John David on the shady roof of the ashram with beautiful views of Arunachala. In addition, we will go to Ramana's ashram and walk through the mountain, visiting the caves and the surroundings. We will enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal specially prepared in our kitchen according to Western hygiene standards.
The retreat will be done in English with the possibility of having a translator so you don't miss anything. Still, the most important thing about this meeting is to open up to the meeting! Open the heart, connect to the energy and connect from the essence to understand what does not take words, to integrate what we already know and have forgotten. During the retreat, we are blessed to visit some teachers or their samadhis. We will also have wonderful opportunities to meet and speak with inspiring spiritual people that John David connected with during his many years in India.
John David is a direct disciple of Papaji, who was himself a disciple of the Indian saint Sri Ramana Maharshi. Sri Ramana spent most of his life in Arunachala, a powerful centre of Self Inquiry and Self Realization for thousands of years. Today, people from all over the world are drawn to the silence and powerful energy of the place, where it is easier to feel the Self.
Free of any spiritual concepts or ideas, we explore the truth of life. You will have your own deep experience with Self Inquiry, which will be the focus of the retreat. This is one of the benefits you get from the retreat, as you can take it into your daily life. In this transformative field perception changes. The eternal Truth, which has always been there appears and is revealed as silence, joy and love.
