This 13th-century house maintains its original decoration with restored centennial furniture, preserving the homey atmosphere. We are located in a relaxing small town in the Navarra mountains, surrounded by ancient beech forests, next to the Irati Forest.

What if the retreat is cancelled?

It has been a very cold weekend. We have been 5 guests and we have had a bad time. We were looking forward to coming home. On Friday when we arrived, the reception was very cold, in the living room there is a fireplace and it was turned off. After giving us the key, we went to the house where our rooms were and the heating, according to the owner, since it was not working, the temperature was very low. The owner told us that he had already turned it on and we went to start the retreat. It was also cold in the yoga room, but he lit two cylinder heaters. After dinner, we went to the rooms and since the heating did not work, nor was there hot water, we told the owner that it was impossible to sleep there and that we were going home. Then, he suggested that we go to his house to sleep. We gathered our belongings and there we went. It was also cold in their house, 14 degrees. But since it was very late, we stayed the night. The next day there was no heating either and the owner went to buy some electric heaters. It was a real joke, since suddenly there was hot water, but the heating was off.... The second night the temperature was more pleasant thanks to the electric heaters. Thanks also to a boy in our group who was in charge of lighting the fireplace when we went to lunch and dinner. We have had lunch and dinner in coats and buff dresses. The food was delicious, but the portion of the main and only hot dish was very small. And besides, there was nothing to repeat since it was a very small pot... well, they said that they lived austerely like that. Everyone should live as they want, but don't scam people. No breakfast, no heating... you only eat twice a day, at 11:00 for lunch and at 19:00 for dinner. Luckily there were herbal teas and thanks to them we warmed our stomach. What "emotional abuse" we have received... on the other hand, yoga seemed good to me. (Automatic translation)

We have taken you to our house, with heating and an extra radiator in each room. On Saturday, Jon drove 90km to buy more radiators for those who wanted to return to the original accommodation. My sister and I have come away completely disappointed and sad from this experience. As our first retreat, we went with great enthusiasm and left frustrated. Upon arrival the rooms were freezing, we were breathing out steam, since the system had gone down and it was going to take a while for the room to heat up. There was no hot water either. At first we thought about bringing butane stoves into the rooms, but in such a small room we were afraid. In the end they offered the 5 of us to stay at their house. A bathroom for 4 people (according to the reservation we should have had one each), but regardless of this, the temperature of this new room did not rise above 15 degrees. They claimed that they were not cold, that they were used to it, that cold is subjective and not real (this seems very advantageous on their part to me). The fireplace in the dining room was lit late. In the end they put an electric radiator in the room, but we were both in the dining room and in the frozen yoga classes, it is not normal to be practicing or eating with your coat and trekking pants on.
