We have the most magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean visible from all parts of the property. The view is so overwhelmingly large that it seems that the horizon of the oceans is higher than we are. We have a 180 degree ocean view that includes the islands of Manuel Antonio National Park. This view gives a great sense of peace and tranquility to people. Being over the ocean but also in the fresh mountain air, we are ionized here. The center is quiet and as a result we have regular animal visitors on the property. Every day we see hummingbird (hummingbirds), toucans, tolomuco (tayra), fish (white-nosed coati), agouti, white-faced capuchin, butterflies (butterflies), eagles, and a host of frogs, amphibians, monkeys, birds, and lizards. . There are sloths and wildcats (ocelot, jaguar, puma and margay) but they are all elusive. Our retreat center has a specially designed yoga deck overlooking the ocean, a pool where you can sit and watch the cappuccinos in the tree above or listen to the toucans while watching the sunset. There is a mix of manicured gardens and jungle to explore. Plenty of room to be alone. Growing on the property we have bananas, avocado (avocados), pipes (coconuts), ginger (ginger), apple (apples) and more. To be honest, the animals eat most of it! Ikara means meeting place in the Adnyamathanha language. The Adnyamathanha are indigenous peoples of the Flinders Ranges in Australia.
